Minister for Municipal Administration and City Improvement A. Suresh has stated that the federal government is dedicated to the uplift of the Dalits.

“The federal government is eager on implementing numerous welfare schemes for enhance their residing requirements,” Mr. Suresh stated whereas addressing the media on the social gathering workplace right here on Wednesday.

“The federal government’s dedication on this regard has been proved by the extension of the SC & ST sub-plan for an additional 10 years,” the Minister stated, and alleged {that a} part of the media was spreading false propaganda on this regard and creating confusion among the many castes.

The federal government was spending 25% of funds for Dalits in each scheme, the Minister claimed. Whereas the TDP authorities had spent ₹33,625 crore for the welfare of SCs between 2014 and 2019, the YSRCP authorities, within the final three-and-a-half years, had spent ₹48,899 crore, he stated.

Equally, for the welfare of the STs, whereas the earlier authorities had spent ₹12,487 crore throughout its time period, the YSRCP authorities had to date spent ₹15,589 crore, he stated.
