YSR Congress Did Not Overreact On Volunteers Issue!

Janasena President Pawan Kalyan’s statement on volunteers diverting the private data of women to aid human trafficking has created a stir in Andhra Pradesh politics.

Pawan Kalyan, usually, does many comments on YSR Congress Government. We see the ruling party’s Kapu leaders bash him in Pressmeets and move on. But this time, the reaction is different.

For the first time, YSR Congress organized ground-level protests against Pawan Kalyan. Even though it is volunteers who protested, it was YSR Congress leaders who organized, supported, and fueled these protests.

One would wonder why this serious reaction. They did not react so much even when Jagan was attacked.

Volunteers are the eyes and ears of the Jagan Government. The party believes it can manipulate the election in favor of the YSR Congress in 2024. That is the reason why they can not take risks with the image of volunteers.

Volunteers are creating a bond with the people by giving them welfare schemes. They will manipulate them to vote for YSR Congress so that the schemes are not lost. If Pawan Kalyan’s comments create distrust in volunteers, people may not cooperate with them. The bond will be broken before the elections and that is very dangerous.

When Pawan Kalyan comments on Jagan, it is just political but when he attacks Volunteers, it is like attacking the lifeline of the YSR Congress and the ruling party can not afford to take a risk.

These fueled protests have one more advantage. Volunteers themselves are around 3 Lakh voters. If YSR Congress fuels anger in them, their votes will be further consolidated. So, it is a win-win situation.

But then, this is not an overreaction by YSR Congress, it is a very natural reaction due to the fear of losing grip on the voters.
