Coming to the topic, Sharmila had been rearing to contest from Paleru constituency in Khammam district as this is regarded as a YSR loyalist belt in Telangana and Sharmila sees this as a safe launchpad.

But as per the latest survey reports from Peoples Pulse agency, Sharmila will be getting a vote share of 3% if she contests on her own in this constituency.

Being a descendent of the YS family, it would be a humiliation if Sharmila actually contests from Paleru and ends up garnering anywhere near a 3% vote share.

However, this might not be the case as Sharmila looks set to merge YSRTP in the Congress party and she is even scheduled to meet with Indira Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi and finalize the same very soon.

Either way, Sharmila’s journey in Telangana hasn’t gone to plan as she hoped to claim the CM chair, but in reality, survey reports say she will get 3% vote share in her desired constituency.
