Janasena President Pawan Kalyan, the other day, made sensational remarks about Volunteers in Andhra Pradesh. He alleged that the information collected by volunteers is being used for Human-trafficking of women and that has led to 17,000 women missing.

Pawan Kalyan said someone in the Central Intelligence Agency tipped him off this. This allegation has created a huge stir in the political circles of Andhra Pradesh.

Ministers and YSR Congress leaders are keeping Pressmeets and are abusing Pawan Kalyan and singing sermons about how noble volunteers are.

They are further egging volunteers across the state to revolt and protest against Pawan Kalyan. All the Blue media TV channels are filled with volunteers bad-mouthing and cursing Pawan Kalyan.

The Women’s Commission served a notice to Pawan Kalyan asking him for proof or tender an apology.

The political tamasha about Pawan Kalyan’s statement is very much expected. Volunteers have also come out to protest so as to suit the agenda of the YSR Congress.

But then, who really cares about the feelings of volunteers? Everyone in the state knows that volunteers are the paid activists of the YSR Congress. We have seen someone like Vijayasai Reddy admit that before the camera.

The Sookthimuktavali about their doing service for a paltry honorarium of 5000 Rupees is also a farce. We know how volunteers across the state earn money by accepting bribes from beneficiaries.

Some volunteers even blackmail the public into removing welfare schemes if they are not properly treated or respected.

We have seen how they tried to tamper the public opinion by involving in the elections. We know how they are passing on the data pertaining to the public to the YSR Congress party for its political use.

Volunteers are everything that is against the accepted democratic norms. They have escaped judicial scrutiny just because Jagan Mohan Reddy is in power and their appointment has Government ratification.

Even after that, they are legal on paper but illegal in spirit.

Volunteers can get angry but no one really cares about their feelings. For they are paid political foot soldiers. YSR Congress IT cell is trending #PawanSaySorryToVolunteers on social media and that explains what is the problem with the volunteer system.

Some of the volunteers are involved in many anti-social crimes as alleged by Pawan Kalyan. We have seen loads of news about that. But we can not keep all of them in that bracket. But most of them fit in the bracket of paid political foot soldiers. So, it is not worth to have sympathy for their feelings.
