A lot is being said about the surge of fake votes and the removal of selected votes in Andhra Pradesh. There are multiple media reports of adding of fake votes in the state.

At the same time, there are reports of TDP supporter group votes getting removed from the voter list. The same was escalated to the central election commission by TDP senior, Payyavula Keshav.

Incidentally, in a new development, the CEC has ordered stern action against two regional election officers for the removal of thousands of TDP loyalist voters in Anantapur. Now, there is a new such instance.

As per latest reports, former Anantapur ZP CEO, Sobha Swarooparani has been suspended from her duties. This is because of the fact that several TDP loyalist voters were removed from the voters list between 2021-22 without any prior notice. This happened while Sobha was in charge, so she has been suspended now.

With this, it is very much evident that votes removal has become mainstream in Andhra Pradesh and TDP is on the receiving end of the same. It is high time that TDP regional incharges wake up and start to dig deep in order to unearth such cases in every part of the state.

Payyavula Keshav has been fighting relentlessly on the removal of votes, targeting TDP, and there is some substantial movement now. If TDP local leadership across the state can act proactively on this, a large scale operation on verifying the facts can be commissioned by the CEC.
