Stones pelted on Secunderabad-Visakhapatnam Vande Bharat Categorical in Andhra Pradesh

Visakhapatnam: Stones have been pelted at a Vande Bharat Categorical practice by some miscreants in Andhra Pradesh’s Vizag on Wednesday. The Railway Safety Pressure (RPF) has reportedly recognized the suspects and has launched a manhunt to nab them, sources within the Indian Railways stated.

The incident came about at nightfall, Instances Now’s Sowmith reported. Two window panes of the specific practice have been broken within the incident and the Railway police have launched an investigation into the matter.

“At 6:30 within the night, any person pelted stones on the Vande Bharat practice in Visakhapatnam. Two window panes have been completely shattered and wanted to get replaced. That is very unlucky,” Anup Kumar Satpathy, Divisional Railway Supervisor was quoted as saying by the information company ANI.

CCTV footage will probably be checked and strict motion will probably be taken in opposition to the culprits when nabbed, the official added.

The broken practice was slated to run between Telangana’s Secunderabad and Visakhapatnam. Eighth within the sequence of India’s semi-high velocity trains, it was set to be flagged off from Secunderabad Railway Station by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on January 19.

The practice, the second to run in southern India, would have halts at Warangal, Khammam, Vijayawada and Rajahmundry stations. South India’s first Vande Bharat practice was launched on the Chennai-Mysuru route.

Earlier this 12 months, stones have been pelted on the Howrah-New Jalpaiguri Vande Bharat Categorical in West Bengal’s Malda district. The incident that occurred on January 2, 2023 was recorded on a CCTV put in on the newly-launched practice. Within the video footage, 4 individuals have been seen throwing stones on the practice.
