Police Van Stolen From Odisha’s Rayagada Recovered From Andhra Pradesh


Rayagada: A patrolling van, which was reportedly stolen from a police station in Odisha’s Rayagada on Saturday, was recovered and a person arrested from Andhra Pradesh on Sunday.

In line with sources, the arrested man, recognized as Rudra Siba of Etida village in Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh, had come to Majhi Ghariani temple in Raygada on Saturday. Whereas performing puja within the temple, his purse containing Rs 10,000 was allegedly stolen within the heavy rush.

Rudra went to Raygada police station to file a criticism about his stolen purse however no police official reportedly listened to him nor registered a case. Annoyed by the behaviour of the personnel, he got here out of the police station.

In the meantime, the patrolling van reached the police station and was parked in entrance of it. Whereas the police personnel have been busy inside, Rudra drove the van out and fled.

On coming to know that the patrolling van was lacking, the police launched a search operation. Following investigation, they positioned it at Parvatipuram in Andhra. A staff from Rayagada police station with the assistance of Parvatipuram police recovered the automobile and likewise arrested Rudra from the spot.

Odisha police introduced Rudra to Rayagada on Sunday. They’ve registered a case on this regard and launched additional investigation.
