Plane Carrying 100 People Crashes In Kazakhstan

A plane carrying 95 passengers and five crew members crashed near the city of Almaty in Kazakhstan on Friday morning. As per the initial reports, the flight Z2100, operated by Kazakhstan-based Bek Air has lost altitude after takeoff and broke through a concrete fence and then hit a house.

The flight crashed 19 seconds after takeoff, approximately 5 kilometers (3.1 miles) from the airport and preliminary reports say that 14 people were killed in this crash. Over 20 people were severely injured and are rushed to the nearest hospital by the emergency teams which reached to the crash site.

Airport authorities claimed that the run-way was covered with thick fog during the takeoff and investigation is immediately initiated. Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev expressed his condolence to the deceased and also assured that officials who behind this will be punished as per the law.
