Nara Lokesh Expresses Concerns About Chandrababu Naidu’s Safety During Meeting with Amit Shah

In a significant development, Nara Lokesh, the General Secretary of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), met with Union Home Minister Amit Shah to discuss concerns about the safety and well-being of his father, N Chandrababu Naidu. This meeting comes as Chandrababu Naidu remains incarcerated in connection with the skill development scam case in Andhra Pradesh.

As N Chandrababu Naidu, the chief of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), continues to be in judicial remand in the Rajahmundry Central Jail of Andhra Pradesh, his son and the General Secretary of the TDP, Nara Lokesh, has raised concerns about his father’s safety. The concerns have arisen in the wake of Naidu’s imprisonment in connection with the skill development scam case and other related cases.

During his meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Nara Lokesh alleged that the YSRCP Government in Andhra Pradesh is egregiously misusing the state machinery. He expressed apprehension regarding the safety of his father’s life under these circumstances.

In a statement posted on social media, Nara Lokesh said, “Met with the Hon’ble Union Home Minister @AmitShah Ji and apprised him of the blatant misuse of state machinery by YSRCP Govt in Andhra Pradesh, the regime’s revenge against Hon’ble @ncbn Garu, and the appalling condition in which he has been lodged in prison where his life is under threat.”

Chandrababu Naidu is facing not only the skill development scam case but also other legal challenges, including cases related to the Amaravati Inner Road alignment and the FiberNet scam. His judicial remand, which began on September 11, has been extended until October 19 by the ACB Special Court in Vijayawada.

In the recent developments, the ACB court rejected Naidu’s bail petition for the skill development scam case.

Nara Lokesh’s meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah took place shortly after the Andhra Pradesh CID initiated its questioning of Naidu regarding the Amaravati Inner Ring Road scam case. Nara Lokesh, too, faced CID interrogation in connection with the Inner Ring Road case.

Following the questioning, Nara Lokesh informed the media that the CID officials posed questions that were unrelated to the case. Despite the Andhra Pradesh High Court’s instruction to attend the investigation for only one day, Nara Lokesh attended for a second day, emphasizing that he had nothing to hide and was complying with the CID officials’ instructions.

The ongoing legal proceedings and the concerns raised about N Chandrababu Naidu’s safety continue to be a topic of significant interest and discussion in Andhra Pradesh and beyond. The TDP remains committed to addressing these issues and advocating for justice within the bounds of the law.
