11 players test Covid-19 positive- The ongoing 14th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2021) has been dogged by a slew of coronavirus cases. Over the past few weeks, players, support staff and groundsmen have tested positive across venues. The latest case to come out is from the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) camp where two players have tested positive. In light of the development, let’s take a look at the list of Covid-19 positive IPL players.

IPL 2021: List of Covid-19 positive players; Nitish Rana – Over a week after testing positive for the virus and undergoing self-isolation, Rana returned a negative Covid-19 test and joined the KKR team training sessions after an extended 12-day quarantine.

IPL 2021: List of Covid-19 positive players; Anrich Nortje- The South African pacer was undergoing seven days of mandatory quarantine when he tested positive for COVID-19. He had come with a COVID negative report.

IPL 2021: List of Covid-19 positive players; Devdutt Padikkal – The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) opener was in quarantine at his home in Bengaluru after testing positive for Covid-19 on March 22. He has since joined the RCB camp after testing negative for COVID-19. “He’s healthy, feeling better and raring to go,” said RCB in a tweet.

IPL 2021: List of Covid-19 positive players; Daniel Sams – According to a statement released by RCB, Sams had returned a negative test upon his arrival in Chennai on April 3. A second test on April 7, however, returned a positive result. Sams has since gone into isolation at a designated medical facility.

IPL 2021: List of Covid-19 positive players; Axar Patel – The Delhi Capitals allrounder has tested positive for Covid-19. Patel had checked into the team hotel in Mumbai on March 28 after arriving with a negative Covid-19 report but has returned a positive test since.

Both Varun Chakravarthy and Sandeep Warrier came out positive right before the KKR vs RCB match. In the aftermath of the outcome, BCCI had to postpone the fixture to a further date keeping in mind the Covid-19 protocols.

IPL 2021: List of Covid-19 positive players; Laxmipathy Balaji and CSK bus driver:

Chennai Super Kings were left on the edge after their bowling coach Balaji and bus driver was tested positive. The entire CSK team had denied playing their Wednesday match against Rajasthan Royals due to this.

Wriddhiman Saha was tested positive just hours before the clash against Mumbai Indians. The entire SRH squad was put in isolation following the update.
