Household’s bid to kidnap girl for marrying towards needs foiled- The New Indian Categorical

ONGOLE: Seventeen folks, together with 10 trans individuals, had been arrested after police foiled their bid to kidnap a newly-married girl. The incident came about at Gundamala village in Kothapatnam mandal, Prakasam district on Saturday night. 

Police mentioned the lady’s household tried to kidnap her after she married an individual from a special caste towards their needs. The girl has been recognized as Jeevitha, a local of Chennai. After a chase at Surareddypalem village in Tangutur mandal, police rescued Jeevitha and reunited her along with her husband, Rajesh.  

It has been reported that Jeevitha befriended Rajesh over a social media platform, whereas finding out B.Tech at Gudur in Tirupati district. They bought married within the presence of Rajesh’s household at Singarayakonda just lately. 
In the meantime, Jeevitha’s mother and father lodged a lacking individual grievance with Gudur police station on October 19. Following this, the couple approached police the subsequent day and sought safety. Within the presence of police, Jeevitha refused to return dwelling at the same time as her household pursued her. She advised them that she willingly married Rajesh.  

Round 1 pm on Saturday, a bunch of 17 folks, together with 10 trans individuals and two of Jeevitha’s maternal uncles, arrived at Rajesh’s home in Gundamala village. As nobody was current at dwelling, they kidnapped the lady. The villagers alerted the police, who chased the van and rescued Jeevitha.Police registered a case based mostly on a grievance lodged by Rajesh’s mother and father. Investigation is underway.
