US Professional Football League Plays Commercial On Farmers Agitation

Despite the Ministry of External Affairs of India hitting out at the global celebrities for responding to the ongoing farmers' agitation against the Agriculture bills, the agitation continues to attract support from other countries.

The  2021 edition of the annual football championship Super Bowl in USA's California has played a 40-second ad on the farmers' agitation. The protests have become a debatable issue once again.

The commercial played during the US Professional football starts with the famous quote of spokesperson and leader in the Civil Rights Movement Martin Luther King Jr. The commercial went viral on social media platforms.

Along with Martin Luther King's quote -"injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere", the commercial also features the statements of Fresno Mayor Jerry Dyer.

However, the commercial was aired across the United States of America. The ad was aired in the Fresno county area only. This didn't stop the commercial from getting viral on social media platforms.

The makers of the commercial have also mentioned the tweet of Rihanna on the farmers' protests.

A lion share of farmers from Punjab, Haryana, and other states have been protesting at the Delhi border since November 2020 against the controversial Agriculture bills introduced by the union government.
