Amaravati: Two individuals have been killed throughout cockfights held as a part of Sankranti festivities in Eluru and Kakinada districts on Sunday, succumbing to accidents brought on by the knives tied to roosters’ legs.
Padma Raju, 20, was a part of the gang watching the cockfight at Antapalli village of Nallajerla mandal in Eluru when one of many roosters pounced on Raju and the knives connected to the rooster’s leg injured him badly. He was rushed to hospital however died on the way in which.
Within the second incident which occurred at Velanka of Kirlampudi mandal in Kakinada, through which one Gande Suresh unintentionally injured his wrist whereas making an attempt to tie a knife to a rooster. He bled profusely and succumbed to his harm.
