Thats An Acid Test For Ram Charan

Surely "Rangasthalam" is the pick of many right now even in theatres and many have watched it many times already on Amazon Prime. But the big fact is that the testing time has started for Mega Powerstar right away. Because he needs to sustain this effect now.
Immediately after scoring a terrific industry hit like Attarintiki Daredi, Power Star Pawan Kalyan failed to repeat the same treat. His later films like Sardar, Katamarayudu and Agnyaathavasi have bombed big time. Then we have Mahesh scoring massive with Srimanthudu, but struggled to retain it with movies like Brahmotsavam and Spyder. Only the latest Bharat Anu Nenu gave him a sigh of relief.
Same is the case with Allu Arjun whose Sarrainodu became a stupendous hit posting career-best figures, but DJ Duvvada and Na Peru Surya didn't live up to it. Then we have Jr NTR maintaining little bit consistency with three hits like Nannaku Prematho, Janata Garage and Jai Lava Kusa in a row.
Cut to Ram Charan now, his Rangasthalam made 126+ crores 'share' from the box office and his next being directed by Boyapati Sreenu should live up to it. In case if the film has to collect more than 100 crores then that story should either be unique, or it should have terrific mass content that will deliver two hours of non-stop masala on the silver screen. At least a hit between 80-90 crores will also sound good, but anything less than 70 crores will destabilise Charan's brand.
So, shouldn't we call #RC12 an acid test for Cherry? The film hits cinemas for Sankranthi 2019
