The kind of films Tollywood is producing these days is a feast not for Telugu audiences but also the film lovers across the globe. And then we have our very own films netting more than 100 crores 'share' in a record span of time.

Ram Charan's "Rangasthalam" stood as that 126+ crores 'share' getting movie, inspiring many others. Now that a film shot in a vintage backdrop worked, naturally such influences will fall on upcoming films too. Already we have Sharwanand's "Virata Parvam 1992" and the title indicates the time around which the story happens. Looks like Nani also joined this gang. 

Nani's upcoming film "Jersey" to be directed by Malli Raava fame Gautham Tinnanuri will have cricket backdrop as the main theme, which is a known thing. Reports are coming that the film will be set in the 1990s. The story starts in 1986 and ends up in 1996, another source informs us. 

In that case, we have to say that Rangasthalam effect is crystal clear on Telugu industry right now with the likes of Nani and Sharwa teleporting their stories to 90s and 80s.
