Kohli Reveals Team Indias Only Regret From 2019

The year 2019 has been one of the profound years for the Indian cricket team. During Star Sports – Follow The Blues, Indian captain Virat Kohli was asked what would the team regret one thing this year and wish to change if given a chance. To this, the captain said that the result of the World Cup semi-final was a bit remorseful.

India lost to New Zealand in World Cup in July and the team crashed to an 18-run defeat against blackcaps after players flopped in a run chase of 240. "The losses that we had in England is something that we as a team would have wanted to change but again having said that things have to be a certain way and maybe this was always meant to be and we had to go through those hard times to reach where we are today," Kohli quoted.

Kohli also agreed that 2019 has been one of the best years for the team and a few days ago, the men in blue won both T20I and ODI series win over West Indies in Cuttack. Also, India has excellently performed in winning seven of the eight Tests this year with one of them ending in a draw. They won 19 ODI out of the 28 they played and registered nine victories in 16 T20Is.

"Apart from the 30 minutes (in the semifinal loss against New Zealand) in the World Cup, it's been a great year. We'll keep chasing that ICC trophy, this group deserves it for the amount of hard work we have put in. We have a vision in place." Kohli said. In January 2020, India is all set to rock T20I series between India and Sri Lanka beginning January 5 in Guwahati and will be followed by Australia's tour of India.
