The 13th edition of Indian Premiere League (IPL) is most likely to get postponed. With the cases of Corona increasing in the country, IPL is unlikely to go ahead as per the announced scheduled.

Karnataka, Maharashtra, Haryana and New Delhi states are willing to host the IPL matches scheduled here and the respective state governments have made it clear. There is also a report that a few franchises have requested the IPL management to push the start of the season until the threat of this epidemic comes down.

With state governments and franchises urging, the IPL management made second thoughts and is seriously considering to postpone the start. BCCI has received information from IPL management that there would be a delay and so the entire re-scheduling of the tournament is currently being done. It may take couple of days before the official announcement comes out.
