Shock raids on mineral water, RO vegetation in A.P. reveal many irregularities

Officers of the Vigilance and Enforcement (V&E) carried out shock raids on 81 mineral water and reverse osmosis (RO) vegetation throughout the State, and located that lots of the models have been operating with out permission from the departments involved.
Some vegetation have been operating in unhygienic situations with out labs and the Bureau of Indian Requirements (BIS) Act certificates, stated the officers who carried out the raids on Friday.
“The groups raided 23 water vegetation in Prakasam district, six in Visakhapatnam, seven in Nellore, 5 in Anantapur, 4 in Sri Satya Sai and the remaining in different districts, and located many irregularities,” stated Vigilance and Enforcement Director Normal Shankha Brata Bagchi, who monitored the raids.
It was noticed that almost all of the RO vegetation didn’t acquire permission from the Meals Security and Requirements Authority of India (FSSAI), Public Well being, Air pollution Management Board and the Floor Water division.
“Water was being packed in polythene packets with out mentioning the date of manufacture, batch quantity, expiry date and different particulars,” the DG stated.
About 52 mineral water vegetation weren’t sustaining any data and no periodical checks have been being carried out. Lab gear was not out there in lots of the models, Mr. Bagchi stated.
V&E would advocate motion towards the water vegetation operating with out licences and violating the foundations of the economic division, the officer added.
