The police have stepped up patrolling alongside the seashores, rivers and canals with a view to avoiding incidents of drowning through the ongoing ‘Kartika Masam’ when many throng the water our bodies for a holy dip.

Groups of the Nationwide Catastrophe Response Power (NDRF) and the State Catastrophe Response Power (SDRF), and skilled swimmers have been saved prepared on the seashores and bathing ghats.
