In a stunning move, AP Media Adviser Parakala Prabhakar has offered to resign. Parakala has sent his resignation to CM Chandrababu Naidu with whom he has been working closely over the past four years.

Parakala said he is deeply hurt with the 'libelous' verbal attack against him by Opposition leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. Parakala said he is being continuously cornered by Jagan and termed it as the reason for his resignation. 

Parakala Prabhakar did his PhD at London School of Economics (LSE). He is one of the few intellectual members who is well-read and well-articulated. He is a political economist and policy consultant. In the past, Parakala served as the spokesperson of PRP and BJP. Parakala's wife Nirmala Sitharaman is presently serving as the Union Defense Minister in Narendra Modi government.

Amidst Parakala's sudden resignation and allegations against Jagan, TDP leaders are maintaining silence.  CM Chandrababu Naidu and AP state government are yet to respond over Parakala's resignation
