T20 WC: Australia Lifts The T20 World Cup For The First Time

Australia, one of the most powerful sides in world cricket, won five World Cup championships in the 50-over format, making them the tournament's most successful team. The team, on the other hand, has been waiting for a trophy for a long time; it is the World Cup in its shorter format the T20 World Cup.

By defeating New Zealand in the finals, Aaron Finch's Australia put an end to a 13-year wait for their first T20 World Cup. Australia's aggressive style of play helped the team to lift the trophy.

After winning the toss, Australia chose to bat first against New Zealand. In their allotted 20 overs, the Kangaroo bowling attack held New Zealand to 172 for four wickets. Kane Williamson, New Zealand's captain, was instrumental in his team's achievement of a good finals score. When his team needed him the most, Kane delivered an 85-run knock.

The Australian team was unaffected by the early wicket of skipper Aaron Finch, with David Warner and Mitchell Marsh taking command. They had a fantastic 98-run partnership that swung the game in Australia's favour. David Warner was on 53 when he was bowled after a brilliant half-century.

Mitchell Marsh (77 not out) and Glenn Maxwell (28 not out) completed the task, as the Kangaroos chased down the mark with 7 balls to spare thanks to their heroics. David Warner responded to his detractors with a spectacular tournament. Warner was named Man of the Tournament for his Performance in the T20 World Cup.

David Warner was heavily criticized following a poor Indian Premier League (IPL) season. As a result of this, the SRH management decided not to play him in the IPL. His inclusion on the team has sparked a lot of speculation.

David Warner made his bat speak without being swayed by the surrounding criticism. He regained his form throughout the event, scoring 289 runs, including three half-centuries. He made the runs at a staggering strike rate of 146.
