Bollywood celebrities such as Kangana Ranaut, Varun Dhawan, Arjun Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, and many more, took to their Twitter handle on Thursday to express support for Unite2FightCorona's campaign by PM Modi. In the testing periods of the pandemic, Kangana Ranaut urged people to "pledge" to unite and fight. "Corona's global crisis may have many setbacks, but it has the chance to put us together like never before, thanks to # Unite2FightCorona @narendramodi @PrakashJavdekar for this # Unite2FightCorona initiative," she tweeted.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Thursday that India's fight against coronavirus is guided by individuals and derives its power from its health warriors, as he urged individuals to obey effective Covid-19 protocols. The Prime Minister urged the people to always follow the norms of social distancing and expressed faith that the nation would win against the pandemic. On Wednesday, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting announced that the Prime Minister will launch a "jan andolan" campaign to provide information on following the Covid-19 protocols, especially during the upcoming season of the festival. Let's #Unite2FightCorona! Let's always remember: Wear a mask. Wash hands. Obey social distance. Practice 'Do Gaj Ki Doori.' We're going to succeed together. We're going to win against COVID-19 together," Modi said in another tweet. "We're going to win against COVID-19 together.

The "Jan Andolan" campaign includes the establishment of hoardings, wall paintings, electronic display boards in government premises, the participation of local and national influencers to raise awareness of Covid-19, the operation of mobile vans to generate daily awareness and the distribution of pamphlets and brochures. It will also include finding help from local cable providers for running messages related to Covid-19 and the government will initiate a concerted advertising campaign for successful outreach across platforms.

India's COVID-19 tally, meanwhile, currently stands at 9,02,425 active cases and 1,05, 526 deaths in total. However, as the country strives to get the economy back on track, almost all sectors have now been entirely or partially opened up.
