In what can be called as not-so-shocking development, United President Donald Trump on Wednesday said he will be signing an executive order to temporarily suspend immigration into US.
On Monday night, President Trump took to his Twitter page and shared this news in the light economic and health effects of coronovirus outbreak.
'In light of the attack from the Invisible Enemy, as well as the need to protect the jobs of our GREAT American Citizens, I will be signing an Executive Order to temporarily suspend immigration into the United States!' - tweeted Donald Trump who is already implementing shutdown in the country.
Given that Trump is bringing an executive order to stop foreign immigrants, his regime is unlikely to consider any fresh applications from foreigners to either work or live in US for the next few months. Also, in next few days, USCIS is expected to officially stop provisioning new green cards and work visas.
Earlier this month, several other nations including India have suspended all visas and imposed travel restrictions to stop the spread the COVID-19, which is spread in 100+ counties around the world. The deadly virus had impacted close to 2.5 million with over 170,450 deaths.
