Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led union government received global criticism over the Agriculture bills triggered by the tweets made by the Global celebrities in supports of the farmers.
After the global criticism, celebrities from Bollywood and Indian cricket and former cricketers have made tweets in support of the Indian government.
However, the celebrities received severe flack for these tweets. The opposition leaders have alleged that the celebrities made these tweets out of pressure from the centre.
Following this, the leaders of the Maharashtra wing of Congress demanded the government to start an investigation into the tweets made by the celebrities of various fields.
Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh said that the government will probe into the tweets as the government has been receiving requests from the leaders to launch a probe into the issue.
The celebrities made these tweets at the same time with similar words. That is the reason why the government will investigate to know why this has happened, the Home Minister said.
The Congress leaders claimed that all the celebrities used the word amicable, while several celebrities made tweets with a similar matter. This proves, the Centre might be behind this, the leaders said.
