The total positive cases of novel coronavirus in India stood at 18,601 while 590 patients succumbed to the dreaded virus so far. The positive cases raised at once with 1,336 fresh cases reported in the past 24 hours.

The information provided by the Health Ministry states that out of the 18,601 patients, 3251 patients have recovered from the virus and 14,759 were active coronavirus patients.

Maharashtra continues to be the worst-hit state of the pandemic with 4,666 positive cases claiming 232 deaths.

The total count of the COVID-19 cases in Andhra Pradesh reached 722 while 20 patients have succumbed to the virus to date. Out of total cases, 630 were active cases, while 92 patients were recovered and discharged accordingly.

The COVID-19 positive cases in Telangana stood at 872 claiming 23 deaths due to the pandemic. To date, 186 patients have recovered and discharged from the hospitals accordingly.
