Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Tuesday directed the officials to take up large scale campaigns to raise awareness about the Covid-19 by keeping posters at village secretariats as a part of Spandana programme on Covid-19 preventive measures.
YS Jagan said, “We have provided 104 , 14410 call centers in case of emergencies and also alerted the district Covid Control room. Officers should call to these call centers and monitor the work performance. He also stated that when a person is tested positive for Covid-19, that person will be sent to home quarantine, Covid care center, District covid hospitals or state level hospitals based on the severity of the patient.
“The patient will be referred to stay at home quarantine, if there are proper facilities at home, otherwise the patient will be sent to care center. The patient in home quarantine should be monitored and a doctor must check if the patients are getting medicines regularly”, he said. YS Jagan clarified that there are 32,000 beds in 128 Covid-19 District hospital sand 8000 in stat-level hospitals and these will be used for critical care. “The Collectors and joint collectors are accountable for allotment of beds. The patient should be allotted with a bed within 30 minutes depending on the patient’s health. Stringent action has to be taken against hospitals which refuse to admit any patients”, YS Jagan said.
