Kiara Advani To Act As Lead Role In Karram Kurram; Film About Lijjat Pappad’s Success
Filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker is set to present the inspiring storey of a woman who started the famous Lijjat chain that produces, among others, Indian snacks such as 'pappad', 'khakhra' and 'vadi'. Kiara Advani will address the lead role in the film entitled Karram Kurram. The film borrows its title from the famous Karram Kurram ad by Lijjat Papad. It will tell the storey of a woman who started a women's cooperative association to provide herself with a livelihood and six other illiterate homemakers who were cooking masters. The business quickly expanded and provided a source of jobs for many women. Today, by giving them financial freedom, the Mahila Griha Udyog Lijjat Pappad has empowered thousands of women.
Karram Kurram will be presented under the banner of Ashutosh Gowariker Productions and directed by Glenn Baretto and Ankush Mohla, who have supported Ashutosh in the past. Kiara Advani, last seen opposite Akshay Kumar in Laxmii, has Jug Jug Jeeyo in her kitty, in addition to Karram Kurram. Also starring in the film are Varun Dhawan, Neetu Kapoor and Anil Kapoor.
