Kamal Haasan has met Congress President Rahul Gandhi today in Delhi and the latter has shared "Enjoyed meeting Kamal Haasan in Delhi today. We discussed a wide range of issues concerning our two parties, including the political situation in Tamil Nadu."

Kamal has replied "Thank you Rahul Gandhi Ji for the time and inputs. Hope our conversation was useful to you as well." Earlier Kamal had a meeting with at the Election Commission where he cleared doubts that they had and he is confident that the Makkal Needhi Maiam party would soon get the recognition from the government of India.
