Vintage 'Jamba Lakidi Pamba' that was crafted by EVV Satyanarayana is a legendary sort of movie when it comes to hilarious comedy treats. And now, using the same title, comedian Srinivas Reddy is coming up with a film.

Though there are initial thoughts that the new film is a remake of that old wine, surely it is not. This film is like many other soul-swapping films where the souls of husband and wife are interchanged. But in original Jamba Lakidi Pamba, the whole of a colony turns into opposite sex, kids and mad persons. In a way, we could say that this modern Jamba Lakidi Pamba is a rehash of the original husband-wife conflict. 

Generally while coming up with such titles, one has to be very careful because it has to meet many sorts of expectations. Though the present generation doesn't know much about that veteran Jamba Lakidi Pamba, YouTube clips of that film have brought it closer to them. So if the new film fails to hold pulse, then it will be a classic mistake. 

Written and directed by JB Muralikrishna, the film is bankrolled by none other than Srinivas Reddy along with his friends, while Mumbai girl Siddhi Idnani is the leading lady. The film releases today (June 22nd)
