India’s AI Adoption Rises More Than Major Countries?!?! Deets Inside….

In order to address a range of challenges raised by the Covid-19 pandemic, various artificial intelligence (AI) instruments have been adopted by companies and organisations in India, and the increase in AI adoption reported in the country is the highest compared to major economies such as the US, Japan and the UK, a PwC report said. “Indian organisations are firm in their resolve to combat the challenges of the pandemic, with the manufacturing sector reconfiguring traditional practices to automate value chain processes and the Government engaging with technology firms to solve problems in the new normal (e.g. contact tracing, contactless thermal screening).

"Similarly, AI-powered diagnostic guidance systems have been developed by universities, start-ups and the healthcare sector to help patients and models to predict the spread of the virus," PwC India noted in its report. India registered an increase in the use of AI of 45 percent, the highest among all nations, while the US reported an increase of 35 percent, the UK 23 percent and Japan 28 percent after the outbreak of the virus. In addition, AI was adopted by about 70 per cent of companies surveyed by PWC India compared to around 62 per cent last year. Data science is more important to AI than before: Oyo CEO

New Delhi: As the world slowly recovers from the Covid-19 pandemic, the use of data science, big data, and artificial intelligence will be critical for the travel, tourism, and hospitality industry, said Ritesh Agarwal, founder and chief executive officer of Oyo Rooms. I assume in the future that data science and AI will be more critical than ever before. Consumers would use digital media to book hotels even more than physical media, Agarwal said during a webinar at the TiE Global Summit.
