IBM Appoints An Indian As Its New CEO

After Satya Nadella, Sundar Pichai, Shantanu Narayen, Indra Nooyi and many others, one more Indian has joined the list of 'Indian CEOs leading Global Technology Giants'.  The 57-yr old Arvind Krishna has been appointed as new CEO of US-based IT giant IBM.

Arvind Krishna, who's the Senior Vice President of Cloud and Cognitive software, will be taking over the top job at company as the current CEO of the firm, Ginni Rometty (62) is stepping down as IBM boss. Aravind, who expressed his happiness over promotion, has received his degree from IIT Kanpur. Later, he did his PHD from University of Illinois. After joining IBM in 1990, Aravind served in various roles and left his mark

Reacting to his appointment as CEO of IBM, Aravind said – 'I am thrilled and humbled to be elected as the next Chief Executive Officer of IBM, and appreciate the confidence that Ginni and the Board have placed in me.'
