Godavari Slang A New Try By Devarakonda

Vijay Devarakonda's new film Dear Comrade in the direction of debutant Bharath Kamma got underway yesterday.

Being bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers, a major part of the film will be shot in and around Kakinada.

While Vijay was seen as a rebellious student in Arjun Reddy, he will be seen as a student leader in Dear Comrade which will dabble in politics, student unions and college issues amid the backdrop of a love story.

Another interesting aspect of the film is that Vijay Devarakonda will be speaking the Andhra (Godavari slang).

In all his films till date, he has spoken only in his Telangana dialect which perhaps explains why he is not such a rage among the youth of Andhra compared to other young heroes.

Will he be able to pull off the Andhra slang with equal ease is the question uppermost on everyone’s minds.

One thing is sure though! If Dear Comrade has an audio launch or some other promotional event in Andhra, the people there are definitely not going to put up with any cheap gimmicks of this hero such as making the crowd scream out ‘swear words’ or some such thing.
