Danam All Set To Join In TRS

Yet another huge blow to the already sulking Telangana Congress. The party's senior leader and former minister Danam Nagender today quit Congress. Danam has sent his resignation letter to party president Rahul Gandhi and PCC Chief Uttam Kumar Reddy.
According to the reports, Danam is all set to join the ruling TRS party tomorrow. Apparently, Danam was upset on being sidelined by the Congress high command for the city party chief's post and he has been sending feelers about joining TRS ever since he had met KCR sometime back.
Danam was first elected to the erstwhile Andhra Pradesh Assembly in 1994. He went on to win the 1999, 2004 and 2009 contests. In 2014, Danam suffered a huge defeat in the hands of BJP leader Ramachandra Reddy. Since then he has been maintaining distance from the party's affairs in the city and didn't even campaign for Congress in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal elections.
