The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) announced that the Covaxin developed by Bharath Biotech will also eliminate the double mutant corona variant.

The company said that the vaccine works effectively on the Brazilian variant, the UK variant as well as on the South African variant, and rescues from all the variants.

With the fact that Covaxin effectively counteracts the double mutant corona variant, people of India felt a slight relief. However, currently, the third mutant of the corona is spreading across the country at a faster rate.
