Mumbai: Bollywood actor Rahul Roy suffered a brain stroke while shooting for a project in Kargil, and is reportedly hospitalised in Mumbai. The star, who rose to fame in the 1990s, was shooting in Kargil for a project when he suffered a brain stroke.   He was then rushed from Kargil to Srinagar and then to Mumbai, where, according to a media article, he is currently undergoing care at Nanavati Hospital. The 52-year-old actor is in the ICU and officially reacts to the therapy well. He was shooting Kargil for the movie "LAC: Live The Battle" directed by Nitin Kumar Gupta. The harsh weather conditions are thought to have caused the stroke.

At 22 years of age, Rahul shot to fame with the Mahesh Bhatt-directed "Aashiqui".  He went on to work on 1990s films such as "Junoon" and "Phir Teri Kahani Yaad Aayee" with the filmmaker. The actor entered the first season of the popular TV reality show "Bigg Boss" in 2006 after lying low for some time and emerged as the winner.
