AP Piligrims Strucked In Manasarovar

A group of more than 100 pilgrims from Andhra Pradesh were stranded in Nepal due to heavy rains and bad weather. The pilgrims were travelling to Kailash and Mansarovar via Uttarakhand. They are standard in Pithoragarh.

Reports say one person named Subba Rao, who hailed from Kakinada, has died due to ill health. A woman named Thota Ratnam from West Godavari also succumbed to poor health condition. 

Alerted Andhra Pradesh government requested the union government to rescue the stranded pilgrims. Indian Army pressed into service helicopters to evacuate the pilgrims immediately. 

AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has also asked his officials to help the pilgrims from the state who are stranded in Simikot. The state government officials are in touch with a few stranded pilgrims. Meanwhile, even the Telangana government has plunged into action to bring back the pilgrims to their native places in the state.
