AP High Court Serious On Kurnool Shift

The AP High Court expressed its anger on the YSRCP government for moving few of the offices from Amaravati to Kurnool. The court questioned the advocate general (AG) on behalf of the state government, how can they shift the offices when the case is pending in the court and hearing is scheduled on February 26th.

On January 31st, the YSRCP government has issued a GO (No. 13) directing that the offices of the Vigilance Commissioner and the Commissionerate of Inquires to be shifted to Kurnool. Challenging this, a group of Amaravati farmers knocked the High Court. Hearing their petition, the court made the above statements and also asked the AG to file counter of government within three days.

Another case in connection with dissolving the CRDA will come for hearing on Wednesday and also the introduction of English medium in government schools. Last week, the High Court had stated that English medium can't be forced on students but they should be given the choice to select the medium of their liking.
