Andhra Pradesh excessive courtroom asks CBI to probe Nellore courtroom theft case


TIRUPATI: The Andhra Pradesh Excessive Courtroom on Thursday requested the CBI to probe the theft from the IVth Extra Judicial First-Class Justice of the Peace Courtroom in Nellore. The case majorly entails a state minister and a TD chief.

A division bench of Chief Justice Prashant Mishra and Justice DVSS Somayajulu issued the order after a defamation case was filed by Telugu Desam chief Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy towards state agriculture minister Kakani Govardhan Reddy.

The Nellore principal district decide had dominated that the investigation into the theft case was not finished correctly and it will be higher if an impartial company probed the matter. Therefore, the HC took up suo motu listening to of the case as a public curiosity litigation (PIL).

The problem was taken up as a suo motu PIL in response to a letter addressed by the excessive courtroom’s registrar (Vigilance) to its registrar (judicial) as per the CJ’s directives.

In July, principal secretary (dwelling) Kumar Vishwajeet filed an affidavit within the courtroom on behalf of the state authorities. It mentioned the federal government had no objection to the switch of investigation to some other company. Minister Kakani knowledgeable this to the courtroom.

It was in December 2017 that the then opposition celebration MLA Kakani Govardhan Reddy accused TD chief after which minister Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy of amassing big wealth by means of doubtful means and launched some paperwork as proof.

Somireddy complained to the police that the paperwork launched by Kakani have been cast. A cost sheet was filed within the case.

Curiously, the fabric offered earlier than the courtroom in that case was stolen from there just a few days after Kakani turned a minister. Unidentified individuals stole a bag reportedly containing paperwork, stamps and digital objects, from the courtroom. Based mostly on the criticism by courtroom workers, the police filed a case, launched an investigation and arrested two suspects. The guilt on them is but to be established.
