Amaravati, Jan 1 (IANS): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on Sunday expressed shock over the stampede at Guntur which claimed lives of three ladies.

He instructed the officers to make sure high quality medicare to these injured and stand by the households of deceased.

Three ladies had been killed and 13 others injured within the stampede throughout distribution of Sankranti items by the principle opposition Telugu Desam Get together (TDP).

The stampede, which occurred after TDP President and former Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu had left the venue after launching the programme, occured in one of many counters arrange for distribution of kits. Some ladies tried to surge ahead.
