Amitabh Bachchan Selected Unanimously For Dadasaheb Phalke Award

Amitabh Bachchan has been chosen for prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke award. 76-year-old veteran actor has been unanimously chosen for India's highest award in Cinema. It is annually presented at the National Film Awards ceremony by the Directorate of Film Festivals. This year, Big B Amitabh is going to receive the honour.

Corroborating the big news, Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar said through a post on Twitter, "The legend Amitabh Bachchan who entertained and inspired for two generations has been selected unanimously for Dadasaheb Phalke Award. The entire country and the international community is happy. My heartiest congratulations to him."

Amitabh has been conferred with prestigious awards like the Padma Shri in 1984, the Padma Bhushan in 2001 and the Padma Vibhushan in 2015, will now be honoured with Dadasaheb Phalke Award this year i.e 2019.
