Akshay Kumar’s Kanchana 2 Remake ‘Laxmmi Bomb’ Faces Boycott

With the actor 's stunning appearance in the first look and the poster of the film, Akshay Kumar's upcoming film Laxmmi Bomb has piqued the interests of his fans. Netizens have been seeking a ban on the screening of the film now that the film is approaching its screening (November 9). Recently, the Bollywood Khiladi posted a video on his social media accounts where, following the untimely demise of Sushant Singh Rajput, he defended the film industry and that obviously did not go well with a lot of people who backed the nationwide movement for justice. Last week, Akshay Kumar took to social media and posted a video on Saturday, shortly after news of AIIMS' alleged assertion of the actor's death case as suicide began circulating, acknowledging that the industry has drug issues, but also asking fans of Bollywood movies around the world not to generalize and presume the worst for every artist in the industry.

Netizens have been trolling the actor for a stand for the film industry in the days after the video was released, although the entire nation is unhappy with the ongoing investigation into the Bollywood drug nexus. In their research of the network established by the drug mafia within the film industry, the Narcotics Control Bureau uncovered names of several A-lister actors and personalities from Bollywood and the television industry like Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor, Rakul Preet Singh and others. As hashtags such as #BanLaxmiBomb and #BoycottBollywood have been trending on and off, Akshay Kumar's film Laxmmi Bomb is likely to face the heat from people in the country. It was flooded with comments from netizens who opposed Akshay's stand in support of the industry in the midst of the furore generated in the last 4 months, so much so that the Google review tab for the film was disabled.
