Chief Minister Y. S. Jaganmohan Reddy, in Gummalladoddi, on November 4, carried out bhumi puja for organising ₹270 crore bio-ethanol manufacturing plant by Assago Industries at Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Company Park, in East Godavari district. Its manufacturing capability is 2 lakh litres per day with zero liquid discharge.

Addressing the gathering at Gummalladoddi village in Gokavaram Mandal, Mr. Mohan Reddy has claimed that the challenge was an final result from the Davos talks and it was grounded inside six months to set an instance for ‘Ease of Doing Enterprise’ in Andhra Pradesh. 

“In Might, I’ve invited the Assago group to arrange the bio-ethanol plant in East Godavari whereas it was in seek for land in an acceptable State. Our current ‘East of Doing Enterprise’ coverage enabled every part to floor the challenge inside six months”, stated Mr. Mohan Reddy. 

“The Godavari area is usually affected by cyclones and floods that devastate agricultural crops, largely paddy. The bio-ethanol plant requires the damaged rice and maize which shall be provided a greater worth on this area”, stated Mr. Mohan Reddy.

“The plant shall be a direct answer to the farmers. The discoloured, damaged rice and maize will get a direct advertising and marketing facility. The plant may also provide you with by-products together with feed for cattle and fish”, stated Mr. Mohan Reddy. The plant will produce bio-ethanol with residual damaged rice and supply no less than 500 employment alternatives.

The Chief Minister has appealed to Tech Mahindra CEO C. P. Gurnani to advertise the industries in Andhra Pradesh by sharing his experiences and assist prolonged by the State authorities to arrange the bio-ethanol plant. Assago Industries MD Ashish Gurnani is the son of C. P. Gurnani. 

Yeleru Canal: Responding to an enchantment from Jaggampeta MLA Jyothula Chantibabu, the Chief Minister has introduced; “Rs.50 crore has been sanctioned for modernization of Yeleru Proper Fundamental Canal (RMC) that irrigates 15,000 acres within the East Godavari district”.
